Lagos Bus collide with Train 

Oluwaseun Osinbajo, the driver of the Lagos staff bus that collided with a train last Thursday, which killed six people and injured several others, has begged victims for forgiveness.

Passengers on the bus that survived the collision blamed the 44-year-old for the accident, alleging he ignored warnings not to cross the train tracks before the collision.

They claimed he was driving with his earpiece on and disobeyed the flag officers at the rail line.

Osinbajo, on the other hand, blamed the incident on a mechanical failure in the bus.

After escaping the collision unharmed, the driver, who works for the Lagos State Ministry of Transport, was transferred to the State Criminal Intelligence Department (SCID).

According to Vanguard, he was overheard telling his family, "It wasn't my fault. How could I have overlooked the warning signs? There was a mechanical problem with the bus.

"It's a pity this happened. I beg everyone involved to please forgive me in God's name."
