Bashir El-Rufai Mocks Tinubu as ‘Pablo’, Taunts First Lady Remi, Endorses Peter Obi for 2027

Bashir El-Rufai Mocks Tinubu as ‘Pablo’, Taunts First Lady Remi, Endorses Peter Obi for 2027

Bashir El-Rufai, Bola Tinubu and Nasir El-Rufai

Bashir El-Rufai, the outspoken son of former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai, has stirred fresh controversy by referring to President Bola Tinubu as “Pablo” in a social media post while openly endorsing Peter Obi for the 2027 presidential election.

The remark, a direct reference to the infamous Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar, has sparked outrage among supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a now-viral post on Thursday, Bashir El-Rufai mocked both President Tinubu and First Lady Remi Tinubu, suggesting that Obi would win the 2027 election before the First Lady finishes preparing breakfast.

“Obi as a flag bearer with a strong Northern candidate would defeat Pablo on Election Day before our dear mother of the Nation Aunty Remi finishes his breakfast around 12 noon,” he wrote. The statement has further deepened the political rift between the El-Rufai family and the Tinubu administration.

While acknowledging former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as a political heavyweight, Bashir argued that Obi’s massive youth support and grassroots appeal make him the strongest opposition candidate. “His appeal across the youth and this younger generation is one profound aspect of his leverage,” he added. This endorsement comes amid growing speculation about potential opposition alliances ahead of the 2027 polls.

The Presidency has yet to respond to Bashir’s latest remarks. Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s media aide, did not immediately reply to inquiries from *Peoples Gazette*. However, political analysts suggest that the comment could escalate tensions between the Tinubu camp and Nasir El-Rufai, who has been increasingly critical of the administration since his ministerial nomination was rejected by the Senate last year.

This is not the first time Bashir has courted controversy with his remarks about Tinubu. Earlier, he warned that arresting his father would be the government’s “biggest mistake,” alluding to Tinubu’s past narcotics case in the U.S. Nasir El-Rufai himself has publicly criticized the Tinubu administration, describing it as “evil” and vowing to join forces to unseat him in 2027.

Hon. Hunpe Babatunde, The newly inaugurated Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, has taken decisive steps toward fulfilling his administration’s 100-day development promises, embarking on an extensive inspection tour of critical community projects.

The tour, which covered the deteriorating Pota Primary Health Center in Ward I and the stalled Ajara-Vetho Townhall in Ward E, signals a proactive approach to governance, with immediate interventions and long-term solutions pledged.

At the Pota Primary Health Center, a vital healthcare facility plagued by infrastructural decay, Hon. Hunpe directed immediate short-term fixes, including generator repairs, reconnection to the national grid, and environmental cleanup.

Expressing dissatisfaction with the facility’s condition, he emphasized his administration’s commitment to ensuring functional healthcare access. “I came here to see things for myself, not to rely on second-hand reports,” he stated. “This facility must serve our people effectively while we prepare for a full-scale remodel.”

Hon. Hunpe assured residents that the Pota Primary Health Center would undergo a complete transformation within his first 100 days in office. The project will include modern medical equipment installation, structural upgrades, and improved service delivery to meet healthcare demands in the community. This move aligns with broader efforts to strengthen Badagry’s health infrastructure and reduce medical tourism outside the local government.

The inspection team also visited the Ajara-Vetho Townhall, an essential community hub whose completion has been delayed. Hon. Hunpe announced that a non-destructive structural integrity test would be conducted to assess the building’s safety before proceeding with final construction. “This townhall is critical for community engagement and development,” he said. “We will ensure it is completed and commissioned within our 100-day timeline.”

Hon. Babatunde Hunpe

Hon. Babatunde Hunpe, the Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government, Babatunde Hunpe, has declared his administration’s commitment to unlocking the town’s vast tourism potential.

Speaking at his inauguration anniversary held at the historic French Village in Badagry, Hunpe emphasized that harnessing these opportunities will boost the economy, create jobs, and empower residents.

Hunpe revealed that while Badagry has long been celebrated for its rich cultural heritage and tourist attractions, its full economic potential remains untapped. “We’ve always talked about tourism, but this time, by the grace of God, we will unlock it,” he declared.

The chairman outlined plans to leverage tourism to benefit not just the government but also the local population, particularly youths and women who stand to gain employment and increased trade opportunities.

“If we tap into tourism properly, it will help the state and federal governments, and by extension, our people,” Hunpe stated. “Badagry will be open to the world economy our youths will get jobs, our women will make sales, and our economy will improve.”

Beyond tourism, Hunpe’s administration aims to make significant strides in healthcare, education, infrastructure, and youth development. He assured residents that his policies would be people-centric, urging them to hold him accountable while acknowledging that tough decisions may sometimes be necessary for progress.

“If I or my staff step on toes, know that it’s for the greater good,” he appealed. “My door is always open for dialogue.”

Supporting Hunpe’s vision, Aholu Agano Toniyon the 1st, of Ajara Agamathen Kingdom expressed optimism, stating that the chairman’s experience in government positions him to surpass past leaders. “We expect more from him, and as traditional leaders, we will work with him to achieve progress,” he said.

Similarly, Chief Sunday Ogunbiyi praised Hunpe’s leadership qualities, describing him as “an embodiment of experience” capable of steering Badagry toward infrastructural and economic prosperity.

Political analysts said with a clear roadmap focusing on tourism, infrastructure, and inclusive governance, Hunpe’s administration signals a new dawn for Badagry. If successful, the initiative could position the historic town as a top destination for investors, tourists, and development stakeholders ultimately rewriting its economic narrative.

New Era for Badagry: Hunpe, Rauf, Kumayon Sworn-In as Council Chairmen Amid High Hopes for Development

New Era for Badagry: Hunpe, Rauf, Kumayon Sworn-In as Council Chairmen Amid High Hopes for Development

By: Manoah Kikekon

Ibrahim Rauf, Babatunde Hunpe, and Ajose Kumayon

A new chapter begins in Badagry as three newly elected council chairmen were officially sworn into office today, with residents expressing optimism that their leadership will bring transformative development to the historic coastal region.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu administered the oath of office to Hon. Babatunde Hunpe (Badagry Local Government), Hon. Rauf Ibrahim Yemaren (RIKAY) of Badagry West LCDA, and Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon of Olorunda LCDA at a ceremony held at Lagos House in Alausa, Ikeja.

The swearing-in follows a decisive electoral victory for the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the three councils. Hunpe secured 27,442 votes in Badagry LGA, Kumayon won a landslide with 28,799 votes in Olorunda LCDA, while RIKAY’s victory in Badagry West LCDA was uncontested, earning him 11,538 votes. The trio now faces the task of meeting the high expectations of residents who are eager for improved infrastructure, better healthcare, and economic empowerment.

Among the hopeful citizens is Olufemi Iroko, a long-time resident, who urged the new leaders to prioritize accountability. "I pray that Badagry shall prosper and experience multi-faceted development under your leadership. Make yourself accountable, and you will get the best of help and support from the populace," he said.

Each chairman has already outlined ambitious agendas. Hunpe, a former legislator, vowed to leverage Badagry’s tourism potential, improve infrastructure, and enact laws supporting grassroots development. RIKAY, known for his grassroots appeal, has promised to build on his predecessor’s legacy, focusing on inclusive governance. Meanwhile, Kumayon has pledged a "people-oriented" administration, emphasizing education, healthcare, and youth empowerment.

Despite the optimism, the new leaders inherit lingering challenges, including unfinished road projects and revenue constraints. Outgoing Badagry LGA Chairman Olusegun Onilude had earlier stressed the importance of tax compliance to fund development, a reminder that financial sustainability will be crucial. Additionally, Kumayon and Hunpe must navigate high expectations after their overwhelming electoral mandates.

As the new chairmen assume office, collaboration between the councils will be vital. Badagry’s strategic location as a tourism and economic hub offers immense potential, but realizing it will require coordinated efforts. With residents watching closely, the trio’s ability to deliver on their promises will determine whether this new era lives up to its promise or falls short of the people’s hopes.

For now, the mood in Badagry is one of cautious optimism, as the community waits to see if these leaders will truly usher in the long-awaited transformation.

Plateau State Under Siege, Tinubu Government Fails to Curb Attacks, Amnesty International Reports

Plateau State Under Siege, Tinubu Government Fails to Curb Attacks, Amnesty International Reports

 By: Manoah Kikekon

President Bola Tinubu and Amnesty International

Amnesty International has issued a scathing condemnation of the Nigerian federal government’s failure to protect Plateau State residents from relentless deadly attacks by armed gunmen. The rights group accused President Bola Tinubu’s administration of negligence, leaving rural communities defenseless against escalating violence.

In the latest bloodshed, 17 villagers returning from Bokkos market were brutally slaughtered near Chirang village just ten days after another attack in Riyom Local Government Area left 27 dead . Amnesty International described the assaults as systematic, with gunmen operating "with utter impunity" while security forces fail to intervene effectively .

The organization highlighted that Plateau State has suffered over 2,630 killings since Tinubu took office two years ago, with attacks often targeting farming communities in a deadly cycle of communal clashes and bandit raids .

Despite Tinubu’s public condemnations and orders for investigations such as after the April 14 massacre in Zikke village, where 54 were killed Amnesty insists that "bland statements" are insufficient . The group noted that security lapses persist, with no meaningful accountability for perpetrators .

In a recent meeting with security chiefs, Tinubu demanded a "fresh security blueprint," directing intelligence agencies to engage state authorities in Plateau, Benue, and Borno. However, critics argue that these measures have yet to translate into tangible protection for vulnerable civilians .

The violence in Plateau is part of a wider surge in Nigeria’s northern and central regions, where over 10,000 people have been killed in two years under Tinubu’s watch . Amnesty attributes the crisis to unchecked banditry, farmer-herder conflicts, and government inaction, warning of a looming humanitarian disaster as displaced farmers lose livelihoods.

ADC Launches 23-Member Campaign Council for Anambra Guber Race

ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Anambra State has officially inaugurated a 23-member campaign council ahead of the November 18 governorship election. The council, comprising 19 men and four women from coalition parties, was unveiled at the party’s secretariat in Awka on Friday, signalling the ADC’s readiness for a competitive race.

ADC’s governorship candidate, John Nwosu, a technology expert, announced that the party will commence its grassroots campaign on August 9, urging the council to focus on teamwork and discipline. The campaign will be led by Ike Iwenofu, a seasoned political strategist, who pledged loyalty and commitment to the party’s vision.

Nwosu emphasised ADC’s 7-pillar manifesto, which includes security, health, education, economy, environment, market reforms, and social welfare. He revealed that findings from his recent local government tour highlighted rising housing costs, insecurity, and multiple taxation as major concerns for Anambra residents.

“We must avoid distractions, embrace unity, and take our message directly to the people,” Nwosu stated. “Our strength lies in grassroots mobilisation and issue-based campaigns.”

Iwenofu, the campaign council chairman, assured that the ADC would deploy technology-driven strategies for effective voter engagement. He called on members to avoid divisive politics and focus on solutions to Anambra’s challenges.

With the Anambra governorship election heating up, ADC’s early mobilisation and structured campaign approach position it as a strong contender against major parties. If Nwosu’s promises on security, tax reforms, and economic revival resonate with voters, the party could spring a surprise in November.

Navy Rescues 11 Human Trafficking Victims, Seizes Smuggled Rice & Fuel in Badagry

Trafficked victims

The Nigerian Navy’s Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Badagry has rescued 11 human trafficking victims and intercepted huge hauls of smuggled foreign rice and petrol in a series of high-impact operations.

Between late May and mid-July 2025, the Navy carried out coordinated raids, rescuing victims including three 15-year-old girls at Owode Border, a 19-year-old girl bound for Benin Republic, and seven teenagers aboard a boat to Porto Novo. Shockingly, some passengers were suspected recruiters.

Preliminary investigations revealed the victims mostly from Imo, Akwa Ibom, and Abia States were being trafficked to Mali, Cotonou, and Ghana under false promises. The Navy has since handed them over to NAPTIP for further action and family reunification.

In intelligence-driven operations, the Navy also struck hard against smuggling networks, confiscating 423 bags of foreign parboiled rice along key routes like Badagry Market Waterside, Porto Novo Creek, and Tongeji Creek.

Additionally, they intercepted 16,895 litres of smuggled petrol (PMS) in multiple raids between May 29 and July 9, 2025, with the seized fuel destroyed to deter future illegal activities.

Following Nigerian Navy protocols, the seized rice was handed over to the Nigeria Customs Service 364 bags to the Western Marine Command and 59 bags to the Seme Area Command for further processing.

Navy Captain B.O. Omotayo, FOB Badagry’s Commanding Officer, credited the success to the Chief of Naval Staff’s strategic vision, emphasizing the Navy’s commitment to maritime security, economic protection, and inter-agency cooperation.

Nigeria Army

In a series of high-impact operations, Nigerian Army troops have rescued 138 kidnapped victims and arrested key terrorist collaborators, dealing a heavy blow to insurgent networks.

The operations, spanning Zamfara, Borno, and Adamawa States, also led to the recovery of arms, ammunition, and bomb-making materials, marking a major victory in the fight against terrorism and banditry.

Acting on credible intelligence, troops from 1 Brigade, alongside local vigilantes, stormed a terrorist hideout near Mayanchi village in Zamfara on July 20, rescuing 106 hostages including 8 women, 85 girls, and 13 boys. The terrorists fled under intense military firepower, abandoning their captives, who were safely handed over to the district head of Mayanchi for reunification with their families.

In a separate operation the same day, 32 more victims (27 women and 5 children)** were released to the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA).

Additionally, troops seized 5 AK-47 rifles and a DUSHKA machine gun, further crippling the terrorists’ arsenal.

Troops also captured a key terrorist collaborator in Tofa Village, Maru LGA, who allegedly served as a ransom negotiator and logistics supplier for the insurgents. This arrest disrupts a critical link in the terrorists’ operational chain.

In Adamawa, troops of 144 Battalion, supported by Hunters/Hybrid Forces, ambushed fleeing ISWAP/JAS terrorists in Takaskala (Madagali LGA), recovering IED-making materials such as detonators, pressure plates, and plastic explosives.

Meanwhile, in Borno, troops of 242 Recce Battalion repelled an ISWAP/JAS infiltration attempt in Monguno LGA, seizing ammunition, RPG bombs, and other weapons. A suspected ISWAP informant was also arrested in Abari, Monguno, following a joint operation with Civilian JTF.

On July 19, troops in Damasak (Mobbar LGA) arrested a drug peddler smuggling tramadol and diazepam substances often used to fuel terrorist activities.

APC Shifts NEC Meeting to Presidential Villa

APC Shifts NEC Meeting to Presidential Villa

By: Manoah kikekon

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has made a last-minute change to the venue of its highly anticipated National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

Originally scheduled to take place at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, the meeting will now be held at the prestigious Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa. This sudden shift has sparked discussions among political analysts and party members alike.

Felix Morka, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, confirmed the venue change in a brief statement on Wednesday.

While he cited "logistics reasons" as the cause for the switch, the move has raised eyebrows, given the significance of the meeting.

The NEC gathering is expected to address critical issues, including the nomination and ratification of a new national chairman for the ruling party.

The leadership vacuum in the APC follows the resignation of former National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje on June 27, reportedly due to health concerns. Since then, Abubakar Dalori has stepped in as the party’s acting chairman.

Thursday’s meeting could mark a pivotal moment for the APC as it seeks to solidify its leadership ahead of future political challenges.

With the relocation to the Presidential Villa, observers speculate whether this signals deeper political maneuvers or simply a matter of convenience.

As stakeholders await the outcome of the NEC meeting, all eyes are on the APC to see who will emerge as the next national chairman and what this means for Nigeria’s ruling party moving forward. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story.

U.S. Warns Citizens to Avoid Nigeria Over Kidnapping, Terrorism, and Healthcare Crisis

U.S. Warns Citizens to Avoid Nigeria Over Kidnapping, Terrorism, and Healthcare Crisis

By: Manoah kikekon

Donald Trump

The U.S. government has issued a stark travel advisory urging American citizens to reconsider trips to Nigeria, citing severe security threats, rampant kidnapping, terrorism, and inadequate healthcare services.

The warning highlights Nigeria as a high-risk destination, placing it among the most dangerous countries for travelers. With crime rates soaring and medical facilities falling short of international standards, the advisory paints a grim picture for visitors.

Alongside Nigeria, the U.S. flagged 11 other African nations including Somalia, Libya, and South Sudan as extreme-risk zones due to terrorism, armed conflict, and violent crime. The advisory categorizes travel risks into four levels, with Nigeria landing in the "Reconsider Travel" tier (Level 3), while 18 of its states are marked as "Do Not Travel" (Level 4). The warning underscores the unpredictability of attacks and kidnappings, urging extreme caution.

The advisory reveals that kidnappings for ransom are rampant, with U.S. citizens and dual nationals often targeted as prime victims. Armed gangs frequently ambush travelers on highways, while terrorists strike public spaces like markets, hotels, and worship centers without warning.

States like Borno, Yobe, and Kaduna face heightened risks due to extremist groups like Boko Haram and bandit militias. Even southern regions, including Delta and Rivers states, grapple with armed gangs and violent crime.

Medical facilities in Nigeria fall far below U.S. and European standards, with shortages of essential medications and unreliable emergency services. The U.S. Mission warns that hospitals often demand upfront cash payments and lack proper blood supplies or trained paramedics.

Travelers are advised to bring their own prescription drugs, secure comprehensive medical evacuation insurance, and get vaccinated against diseases like yellow fever, cholera, and malaria before entering Nigeria.

**Avoid These 18 High-Risk States**
The U.S. explicitly warns against travel to 18 Nigerian states, including, North, Borno, Yobe, Adamawa (terrorism/kidnapping). Northwest, Kaduna, Zamfara, Katsina (bandit attacks). Southeast, Imo, Anambra, Enugu (armed gangs). South-South, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers (kidnapping/crime) Violence between herders and farmers further escalates risks in rural areas, making travel perilous.

Americans still choosing to visit Nigeria should, Avoid nighttime travel and isolated roads.  Enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) for emergency alerts. Carry emergency cash and medical supplies. Stay vigilant in crowded areas prone to terrorist attacks.
With no reliable ambulance services and rising crime, the U.S. stresses that "caution is non-negotiable."

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Transformer and Bonu Solomon

In a major development for residents of Badagry West, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the deployment of nine brand-new electricity transformers to the area. The announcement was made by Hon. Bonu Solomon, the lawmaker representing Badagry Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, who described the move as a "significant milestone" in efforts to stabilize power supply in the region.

Hon. Solomon revealed that the approval followed sustained engagements with the governor, emphasizing the Lagos State Government’s commitment to improving infrastructure in underserved communities. “I am thrilled to announce another achievement in our quest to restore electricity to our people,” he said. “Governor Sanwo-Olu has graciously approved nine new transformers, which will soon be deployed to key communities in Badagry West.”

The lawmaker urged residents to appreciate the governor’s intervention, noting that the transformers would supplement existing infrastructure and reduce prolonged power outages. Badagry West has faced electricity challenges for years, with many communities relying on inadequate and overburdened transformers. The new installations are expected to boost power distribution, support businesses, and improve living conditions.

In a statement shared on social media, Hon. Solomon expressed gratitude to Governor Sanwo-Olu for his responsiveness. “Let us join hands in thanking His Excellency for his dedication to illuminating Badagry West,” he said. “This is a testament to his administration’s focus on inclusive development.” The transformers are expected to be installed in high-demand areas, ensuring equitable access to electricity.

Residents have welcomed the news with optimism, with many hoping for faster implementation. Community leaders praised Hon. Solomon’s advocacy, describing it as a victory for grassroots representation. “This is what happens when leaders listen to the people,” said Chief Samuel Adekunle, a local stakeholder. “We urge the government to ensure timely installation so our businesses and homes can thrive.”

The Lagos State Government has yet to announce a specific timeline for the transformer installations, but sources confirm that procurement and logistics are underway. This development aligns with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s broader agenda to upgrade infrastructure across Lagos, particularly in underserved regions. For Badagry West, the transformers signal a brighter, more electrified future.

Onilude’s Media Aid Kriko Apologizes to Badagry Residents Over PHC Oversight

Onilude’s Media Aid Kriko Apologizes to Badagry Residents Over PHC Oversight

By: Manoah Kikekon

Segun Onilude is Kriko Augustine

Kriko Augustine, media aide to Hon. Segun Onilude, the outgoing Chairman of Badagry Local Government, has issued a public apology to residents of Ward I, covering Ikoga and neighboring communities, following concerns over the neglect of Pota Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC).

The apology, shared on Facebook, comes amid criticism from locals who questioned the administration’s commitment to healthcare infrastructure in the area.

Kriko admitted his initial shock upon seeing complaints about the state of Pota PHC, acknowledging the frustration of residents. He emphasized that while the Onilude-led administration had invested in upgrading several PHCs across Badagry including Ajido, Boekoh, Iluda, and Torikoh the oversight in Ward I was regrettable. "How did this slip through the cracks? Was it bureaucracy or pure oversight? I couldn’t find an answer," he wrote, stressing the need for accountability.

The media aide clarified that the administration never intentionally ignored any community, attributing delays to systemic challenges. However, he assured residents that constructive criticism was welcomed, describing it as essential for democratic accountability. "Leadership isn’t just about successes; it’s about owning lapses," Kriko stated, directly apologizing to Ward I stakeholders for any perceived neglect.

He also addressed broader infrastructural challenges, noting that some inherited issues required long-term solutions rather than rushed fixes. "Government is a continuum," he said, pledging that the administration remains committed to sustainable improvements in healthcare and other sectors.

Residents have since reacted to the apology, commend his magnanimity. "I hope all the other spokesperson see this intervention approach as something to emulate. The people know that your bosses, the public official, can not be perfect. Indeed, nobody is demanding perfection of anyone. All the people seek is TRUE EMPATHY and a STRONG COMMITMENT to the greater good of our communities." Dr. Seun Williams said.

Simeon Jijoho said, "The statement reflects, Empathy, Accountability and apology. Good to see the "own goal" scoring Sergio Ramos over the Aggressive Sergio Ramos in this particular situation."

Badagry West LCDA Chairman Gbenu Unveils Legacy Projects Amidst Critics Canoe Controversy

Badagry West LCDA Chairman Gbenu Unveils Legacy Projects Amidst Critics Canoe Controversy

By: Manoah kikekon

As Hon. Gbenu Henugbe Joseph’s tenure as Executive Chairman of Badagry West LCDA nears its end, his administration has released an extensive scorecard showcasing transformative projects executed over the past eight years.

The move comes amid recent debates over the symbolic presentation of canoes to local fishermen a gesture critics dismissed but beneficiaries hailed as a lifeline in the riverine community.

In a press release made available to journalists on Saturday it States "Detractors may mock the canoe initiative, but in Badagry West a predominantly agrarian and fishing community such interventions are far from trivial. For local fishermen, a canoe is an essential tool for survival, not an outdated relic. By providing these vessels free of charge, the Gbenu administration directly addressed economic hardship, empowering fishermen to sustain their livelihoods."

However, this is just one of many grassroots interventions that have shaped the council area’s development.

From constructing five new primary schools to distributing annual bursaries, uniforms, and GCE forms, the administration prioritized education as a cornerstone of development.

The provision of a school bus and consistent Children’s Day celebrations further underscored its commitment to youth empowerment. These efforts ensure that Badagry West’s children are not left behind in Lagos State’s educational advancement.

The construction and rehabilitation of Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs), including modern facilities in Apa and Boglo, have improved access to medical services.

An ambulance was also procured for emergencies, while road rehabilitations, solar-powered streetlights, and transformer installations boosted infrastructure. Notably, the Owode-Farasime road reconstruction preceded federal intervention, proving the council’s proactive approach.

Through biannual cash grants, skills acquisition support, and widow empowerment schemes, the administration directly impacted livelihoods. Annual Christmas packages reached over 4,000 families, while discounted food markets provided relief during economic hardships. Such initiatives demonstrate a governance model rooted in inclusivity and compassion.

Ahead of the July 24 valedictory event, key projects like the Boglo Community Road, Customary Court, and a newly renovated secondary school will be commissioned. These final touches cement Gbenu’s legacy as a leader who prioritized tangible development over political theatrics.

While critics focus on isolated gestures, the full scorecard reveals an administration that delivered strategic, life-changing projects. As Badagry West prepares for a transition, history will remember Gbenu’s tenure not for controversies but for impactful governance where every canoe, classroom, and clinic built a stronger community.
