Security forces operating under Sector 7, Sub-Sector 71 Sanga have successfully eliminated a suspected terrorist during a targeted offensive in Kaduna State. The operation took place at Ungwan Nungu village, located within the Sanga Local Government Area.
According to military reports, the engagement occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. on September 18, 2026. Troops stationed in the area acted swiftly on actionable intelligence regarding the movement and hideout of suspected criminal elements operating within the community.
Upon arriving at the designated hideout, security personnel engaged the suspects in a fierce exchange of gunfire. During the gun battle, one of the outlaws, identified as Bashir Mohammed, was neutralized, while his accomplices managed to escape into the surrounding terrain with varying degrees of gunshot injuries.
Following the encounter, military authorities launched a comprehensive tracking operation to apprehend the fleeing suspects. Patrols and security sweeps remain active across the region to deny the criminals any opportunity to regroup or launch retaliatory attacks on neighboring settlements.
The military continues to urge local residents to remain vigilant and report suspicious movements or individuals seeking medical treatment for unexplained injuries to security agencies.
