The Rotaract Club of Ajara, proudly known as "The Treasure Base" and recognized as the vibrant youth wing of Rotary International, recently brought members and guests together for an exciting and memorable event tagged the "Barbecue Fellowship."
The special gathering took place last Sunday in the historic town of Ajara, Badagry, Lagos State, Nigeria. Beyond the aroma of delicious grilled food, the event served as a melting pot for young leaders to network, unwind, and strengthen communal bonds.
Organizers noted that the fellowship was designed to be much more than a routine social meetup. It provided a welcoming platform for attendees to share lighthearted moments, exchange ideas, and build deep friendships in a relaxed family-style atmosphere.
“At Rotaract Club of Ajara, we believe that service is important, but so is building meaningful relationships and creating a space where everyone feels welcome,” the club leadership shared in a statement.
The club emphasized that its doors remain wide open to both seasoned Rotaractors and newcomers seeking a supportive community to grow, serve, have fun, and make lasting memories.
Building on the success of the Barbecue Fellowship, the club has announced its next major social event to keep the momentum going.

Organizers are encouraging youths in and around Badagry to come out with high energy and positive vibes. Attendees do not need prior acquaintance with any member to participate.
“You don't have to know anyone before coming. Just come as you are. You might just meet your next best friend, discover a new opportunity, or find a community you didn't know you needed,” the club added.
The Rotaract Club of Ajara true to its motto, “Come for the fellowship. Stay for the family” continues to welcome new faces as it paves the way for youth development and community impact in Badagry.
