The Rotaract Club of Ajara Badagry, the premier youth arm of Rotary International in the region, has officially announced the date for the investiture of its president for the 2025-2026 administrative year.
The event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 5th, 2025, at the Town Hall in Vetho-Ajara, Badagry, Lagos State. This ceremony marks a significant milestone for the club and the community it serves.
President-elect John Mautin James clarified that the investiture serves a dual purpose. It is both a formal public declaration of the new leadership and a crucial fundraising initiative. The funds raised will be directly channeled into financing the club's ambitious projects designed to benefit the local community of Badagry, ensuring a tangible impact throughout the year.
Outlining his vision for his term, President James promised members a regime built on Accountability, Transparency, and Growth. His agenda strongly focuses on Employment and support structures for members and the wider youth demographic. This support is essential for funding impactful programs, educational seminars, and empowerment initiatives that provide skills and tools for personal and community development.
The club is calling on individuals and corporate organizations within and around Badagry and Lagos State for support. Contributions and partnerships are vital to procuring items for youth empowerment and successfully running programs that foster a better future for the community, local government, and Nigeria.
In a powerful message to the youths of Badagry, President James encouraged determination, focus, and a willingness to learn. He left them with an inspiring mantra: "Aspire to Acquire your Desire, and if in the Process you Mis-fire, never Retire but Back-fire." This statement encapsulates the resilient and ambitious spirit the Rotaract Club of Ajara aims to cultivate.
