The Kogi State government has pledged to ensure justice for Ayo Aiyepeku, the photojournalist brutally murdered under mysterious circumstances.

In a strong statement, the state vowed to pursue the killers and bring them to book, emphasizing that such violence will not go unpunished.

Kingsley Fanwo, Kogi’s Commissioner for Information and Communications, revealed that Governor Ahmed Ododo has directed security agencies to launch a thorough investigation into Aiyepeku’s killing. The governor stressed that while justice cannot reverse the tragedy, it will serve as solace to the bereaved family.

“The safety and security of our people remain a top priority,” Fanwo stated. “We will leave no stone unturned to ensure the perpetrators face the full wrath of the law.” The government also confirmed that investigations into the prime suspect’s subsequent death are ongoing, deepening the mystery surrounding the case.

Authorities have called on residents to remain vigilant and assist law enforcement with credible information. “Community support is crucial in solving this crime,” the statement added, urging anyone with useful leads to come forward.

As tensions rise, Kogi State remains under scrutiny, with many demanding swift justice for Aiyepeku’s tragic death.
