In a historic event set to blend leadership, legacy, and tourism development, the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) will officially inaugurate its Ogun State Chapter on Saturday, 26th July 2025, at the Iconic Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta.
The occasion will also double as a grand celebration for Mrs. Melutia Ogunremi, the newly installed pioneer Chairperson, as she marks her 60th birthday and retirement from active service.
According to a press statement by Hon. Apata Samson Olamitunji Nunayon, the ATPN National Vice President for the South West Region, the event will spotlight women’s empowerment, tourism growth, and sustainable partnerships in Ogun State.
Mrs. Ogunremi, a seasoned professional and advocate for community development, will be honored for her decades of service while ushering in a new era for ATPN in the "Rock City."
The ceremony will feature key highlights, including the official swearing-in of the Ogun State Chapter executives, a special tribute to Mrs. Ogunremi’s career, and an empowerment session for women a cause close to her heart.
Additionally, stakeholders will explore strategies to boost tourism engagement in Abeokuta, leveraging its rich cultural heritage and potential as a premier travel destination.
