Primary School Pupils, Led by Social Critic Martins Otse (VeryDarkMan), Stage Dramatic Protest at FCT Minister’s Gate

Fed-up pupils and activists took to the streets in Abuja on Monday, calling out President Bola Tinubu’s administration over the prolonged teachers’ strike that has disrupted education for over nine weeks.

Dressed in school uniforms and holding bold placards, the children supported by adults marched to the FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s office, chanting for justice. Social media sensation Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, led the protest, using the alphabet to roast Tinubu’s government from A for Asiwaju to Z for Zero Progress highlighting corruption, embezzlement, and failed promises.

One frustrated pupil shouted, "We deserve to learn!" as others accused the government of neglecting their future. Otse slammed Wike, saying, "If you didn’t get basic education, you wouldn’t be FCT Minister today"

A teacher from Durumi revealed only 10 government-employed staff handle the school, while the rest are part-timers funded by Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) fees. Despite the new N70,500 minimum wage demand, educators still earn a meager N30,000, forcing the ongoing strike.
