The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Badagry West has appointed Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende (RAK), as the Director-General of its Campaign Committee, As the July 12 Local Government Elections draw closer.
The ruling party unveiled a strong 60-member campaign team, showcasing its determination to secure grassroots support across the Badagry West Local Council Development Area (LCDA). Ogunlende, a respected figure from Asheri, brings a mix of political influence and administrative expertise to drive the party’s strategy.
Key Appointments in the Campaign Team includes Hon. Gbenu Joseph (Incumbent Council Chairman) Committee Chairman. Hon. Peter Metome (APC Badagry West LGA Chairman) Co-Chairman.
These leaders will provide strategic oversight, ensuring the campaign leverages the party’s strong local presence.
In his first remarks after the appointment, Ogunlende expressed his commitment to a united, youth-driven campaign.
“I am honored to lead this mission. Our focus is on unity, youth engagement, and a data-backed strategy that resonates with our people. This isn’t just about winning it’s about building a movement that reflects APC’s dedication to Badagry West.”
He emphasized that the campaign team combines experienced leaders and fresh voices, all chosen for their integrity and service record.
“Our mission is clear, secure victory for Hon. Rauf Kayode Yemaren (Rikay) as Chairman, Princess Nutayi as Vice Chair, and all our councillorship candidates. Together, we will turn our vision into success.”
The committee is set to launch an aggressive voter outreach program, prioritizing community engagement, youth involvement, and voter education.
With Ogunlende at the helm, the APC aims not only to win the polls but also to strengthen its bond with voters, particularly the youth a critical voting bloc.
