Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, has extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Lateef Yahaya Olawale (WAY) from Badagry, following his swearing-in as a member of the Lagos State Civil Service Commission.
The ceremony, held at the prestigious Banquet Hall in Lagos House, Ikeja, marked a pivotal moment for the newly appointed commissioners, who will now play crucial roles in shaping the state’s civil service.
The event saw the induction of five distinguished members, each representing Lagos State’s five administrative divisions. Alongside Olawale, the commission welcomed Mrs. Boladele Dapo-Thomas, Mr. Fatai Olalekan Lasisi, Mr. Afolabi Olatunji Sobowale, and Mr. Rufus Adekoya Adedapo. Commissioner Ogunlende praised their appointments, expressing confidence in their ability to drive progress and uphold the integrity of Lagos’ civil service.
In his address, Ogunlende reserved special commendation for Mr. Lateef Yahaya Olawale, a prominent figure from Badagry, describing him as a capable leader who will bring value to the commission. “I have no doubt that Mr. Olawale will represent Badagry Division with excellence and contribute meaningfully to the development of Lagos State,” he stated. The commissioner’s remarks highlighted the significance of inclusive governance, ensuring all divisions of Lagos have a voice in key decision-making processes.
The newly sworn-in commissioners are expected to oversee critical aspects of the state’s civil service, including recruitment, promotions, and disciplinary matters.
