Pastor Kumuyi commended Donald Trump in the statement about the invitation for his audacious dedication to upholding international religious freedom and defending Christian principles during his first term in office.
He applauded Trump's endeavours to fortify religious endeavours and give precedence to matters that hold great significance for the worldwide Christian community.
According to Kumuyi, these efforts have not only strengthened religious freedom in the United States but have also generated significant discussions about the need for moral leadership around the globe.
Pastor Kumuyi's trip to Washington, D.C., is anticipated to include a number of high-profile meetings with influential members of the media, prominent church leaders, and U.S. lawmakers.
This comes soon after Nathaniel Bassey, a Nigerian pastor and gospel singer, made headlines recently for sharing his candid story about why he was invited to the same US Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast.
Bassey described the transformative phone conversation that resulted in this honour while serving as a minister at Pastor Poju Oyemade's World Faith Believers Convention (WOFBEC).
The well-known gospel singer disclosed that the invitation was sent out by Reverend Merrie Turner following a divine inspiration during prayer. Turner claims that she felt compelled by God to ask Bassey to use his ministry to exalt the United States.
