Olatunji Oladunjoye emerges as patron of NYCN Olorunda LCDA, inaugurates directorates

Mr. Olatunji Oladunjoye, the chairman Tricycle Owners and Drivers Association of Lagos State, has been appointed as the patron of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Olorunda LCDA, Badagry, Lagos State, and a new directorate has been inaugurated.


This was done at the end of year celebrations held on Saturday at Mosafejor Town Hall, Aradagun, Badagry, Lagos State.


The event was titled Celebrating the Milestone and Embracing Possibility.


 Mr. Olatunji Oladunjoye, who pledged to support the council in any capacity he could.


"I'm going to give them my maximum cooperation in order to assist them, because as a youth they need opportunities; some are financial needs, skill acquisition, and business employment. We also need to support the public schools by donating chairs and learning materials; also, the less privileged work with the relevant stakeholders to facilitate employment for the youths."


Olwadamilare Kafisewon, the guest speaker at the event, said, "It is a good initiative, bringing youths of like minds together in Olorunda LCDA. The youth should remain focused; the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams, as being focused is the only way the youths can achieve their dreams."


He urged the new administrator to find it worthy to seek advice from the predecessor, as this will help in guiding youths.


Aladeotan David, Vice Chairman, NYCN Lagos West Senatorial District, said, "The youths should continue doing what they know how to do best. The youth do not have to give up; they should continue to be true ambassadors. No matter what challenges we face in the nation, youths have to be productive and selfless in the community."


Balogun Sodiq, the NYCN coordinator Olorunda LCDA, said, "The youths of Olorunda need to come together to enhance youth development, and the youths need to be part of events like this.


"The biggest challenge facing the youths is that we are too divided against ourselves, some youth seeing themselves as party or community youth. What I want them to know is that NYCN comprises both groups of you youths," he added.
