Mautin Peter, the winner of Face of Badagry 2025 at Badagry Social Media Award, has said she has a vision for a cleaner Badagry, titled Ecovision Badagry.
Mautin disclosed this to News Peddlers in an exclusive interview.
Badagry Social Media Award was organized by Sewhude Akande, the CEO City Mood Communication.
Mautin said, "ECOVISION BADAGRY entails improving Badagry as a cleaner town. A town where environmental health and sanitation are prioritized. The residents should expect workshops and visitations, especially to five communities in Badagry: Ajara, Ibereko, Ikoga, Topo and Aradagun. They should also expect teamwork, and I believe with everyone's cooperation and input, we can make it work."
Mautin said Badagry, being a historical site, needs more publicity and that she would sell Badagry to the world.
"Badagry is a town known for its record keeping about the history of the slave trade and religion. Being the face of Badagry, this has given me a platform to sell Badagry to the world. Looking at its rich historical sites."
She expressed her excitement to have emerged the winner of the pageant.
"Honestly, for me, becoming the face of Badagry is a stepping stone to the greater things I want to achieve, and I feel so excited and fulfilled in this phase of my life because when I chose to compete, I received some encouragement and, of course, discouragement because I'm plus-size. But, to the glory of God and the support of my family and friends, I emerged the winner," she added.
