Hon. Samson Nunayon Apata, the National Vice President of the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria, South West Region, has said his administration is going to be a new dawn for tourism industry in the region.
This was made available to journalists on Wednesday, January 1st 2025, by Manoah Kikekon, the personal media aid to Apata, in Apata's New Year message.
Apata said, "As we usher in the year 2025, I extend warmest greetings to our esteemed stakeholders, tourism practitioners, and the entire South West Region community. The dawn of a new year presents an opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments and challenges, while also reinvigorating our passion for showcasing the rich cultural heritage and tourism potential of our region.
"As the Vice President of the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN), South West Region, I am excited to announce that our team is poised to hit the ground running this year. Although we were elected in November last year, we have been laying the groundwork for our strategic plans. This month, we shall commence the activation of these plans, designed to drive tourism growth, promote cultural exchange programs, and support the development of tourism infrastructure in our region.
"Furthermore, we shall be activating all our States Chapters that are yet to be activated with immediate effect, while those already activated will be re-energized to be more active and impactful in their respective domains. The activation of our States Chapters will commence from Oyo State in February, and we look forward to working closely with stakeholders in the state to unleash its vast tourism potential.
"We are committed to working tirelessly to position the South West Region as a premier tourism destination in Nigeria. We invite you to join us on this exciting journey and explore the vast opportunities that our region has to offer.
"Wishing you a year filled with love, laughter, adventure, and unforgettable experiences," He said.
