NYCN Badagry commemorates World Youth Skill Day with skill acquisition

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Badagry Federation commemorated World Youth Skill Day with a skill acquisition program to re-affirm its commitment to youth empowerment and development.


This event, held on Monday, July 16, 2024, at the three Skill Acquisition Centres in Badagry Local Government, empowering youths with various skills.


The program, led by Comr. Aladeotan David Sunday, Vice Chairman, Lagos West NYCN, and supervised by Comr. Ajala Pepper, State Chairman Representative, Comr. Yewhenu Peter Abiodun, Emeritus Coordinator NYCN Badagry Local Chapter.


Comr. Gbowe Gabriel, Coordinator, NYCN Badagry Local Chapter, brought together youth leaders from NYCN, The Boys Brigade, NABWES, and other affiliated organizations. Through interactive sessions and hands-on training, participants acquired skills in printing, shoemaking, graphic design, tailoring, and tie and dye. Expert resource persons shared their expertise and experiences, providing valuable insights and guidance.


The success of this program is a testament to the council's dedication to promoting youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and skill development. By providing a platform for youths to acquire new skills and knowledge, the Badagry Federation NYCN is helping to shape the future of our nation. We believe that empowering our youths with skills and knowledge will have a positive impact on the community and the nation at large.


Aladeotan said, "the World Youth Skill Day celebration by Badagry Federation NYCN was a resounding success. We commend the organizers and participants for their efforts and look forward to future programs and collaborations that will further enhance the lives of our youth."
