Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, has commended TECNO, a mobile phone company, for its role in an upcoming sports facility project in Sura, Under Bridge, Lagos Island.
In a social media post on Thursday following the groundbreaking ceremony, Ogunlende expressed appreciation for TECNO's collaboration and proactive engagement, marking a pivotal step towards enhancing recreational opportunities for the youth of Lagos.
The proposed sports facility aims to cater to the recreational needs of Lagosians, particularly the younger demographic, underscoring the importance of public-private partnerships in community development.
Adeosun Adebowale, the media person to Ogunlende, said Ogunlende went further to invite more private sector investments, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in driving social progress. "We're thrilled to partner with forward-thinking companies like TECNO," Ogunlende stated, "and we are also inviting other private sector players to join us in empowering Lagos' youth and driving social progress."
Ogunlende also used the opportunity to inform TECNO about available spaces in Badagry, highlighting the state's aim to ensure adequate infrastructure is present and accessible to youths across the state.
