BIFIF appreciates Badagry People as Kidnapped Lagos PDP chairman regains freedom

The Badagry International Film Cultural and Sport Festival has sent appreciation to everyone who sent prayers and made the release of Lagos PDP chairman Aivoji Phillip possible.

Philip Aivoji, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party's Lagos State chapter, has been released after being kidnapped by unidentified gunmen on the Lagos-Ibadan  expressway 

Aivoji was released four days after being abducted on Thursday.

Aivoji and other party leaders were kidnapped on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Thursday while returning from the party's Stakeholders' Zonal Caucus meeting, which was convened by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde in Ibadan, the state capital.

In a statement released to News Peddlers on Monday in a chat, Viyon Awhanse, the Founder and CEO of BIFIF, stated that he appreciates everyone who made his freedom possible.

In an earlier report, Lagos State PDP Publicity Secretary Hakeem Amode has announced Aivoji's release in a brief statement issued around 1.15 a.m. on Monday.

Viyon Awhanse, who earlier said in a report that the elderly man needed prayer and support from the people of Badagry in order to be released safely, has now appreciated Badagry people especially the Ogu people.

"I appreciate every support, from his party to stewards in Badagry and especially to the Ogu sons and daughters worldwide, for the show of love and bond. We are proud to be Ogu. Gunuvi athotho.

"I proudly identify as Gunuvi Atho-tho and prioritize my humanity above all else. Let us prioritize our shared humanity above all differences. Let us focus on devising effective solutions.

"Elder Aivoji is an Ogu Man and he is my father.

"Special thanks to God and everyone who made these possible.

"Ena pa mi lo"
