Two persons have died and four others have sustained fatal injuries in a road crash along the Lagos-Badagry expressway in the early hours of Monday.

In a press release made available to newsmen by Mr. Williams Manga, Unit Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, it was stated that the accident occurred at about 5.46am at the Ibereko section of the expressway.

“The Toyota Camry, with dealer registration number 01-6897DLA and seven passengers, including four males and three females, was coming from a popular hotel when the accident occurred.

He said the accident is likely to have been caused by excessive speed.

He further said, “The vehicle somersaulted many times on the Old Badagry Expressway, to the other side, leaving two dead while four sustained varying degrees of injury."

Manga said that the four injured persons were taken to the General Hospital in Badagry for treatment, while the corpses of the two others were deposited at the mortuary of the hospital.

“One of them was not affected by the accident at all."
