A incident occurred in the early hours of today, Monday, near the Mile 2 Bridge area of Lagos State, where a woman who is yet to be recognised collapsed and died.
According to witnesses, the woman was walking across the bridge when she fell.
She had died by the time anyone could reach her.
"She was about to get on a motorcycle when she suddenly collapsed to the ground," a commercial motorcycle (okada) rider told Vanguard.
"At first, I thought it was just a simple fall, but when she stopped breathing, it became clear that something was seriously wrong."
The incident drew a large audience of onlookers who were shocked by the tragic turn of events.
The identity of the deceased woman was unknown at the time this report was filed.
Meanwhile, authorities are attempting to identify her, contact her family, and investigate the circumstances surrounding her death.
