Humanity Family Foundation for Peace and Development (HUFFED), in collaboration with Action Aid, has empowered youths with technical equipment in Wesere, Badagry, Lagos State.

The youths were empowered with sewing machines, generators, hairdressing equipment, instant photo makers, and tilling equipment, on June 10, 2023.

Mr. Adenigba Henry, executive director of the Humanity Family Foundation for Peace and Development, told News Peddlers that "we are actually empowering the youths of Wesere so that they can be self-sufficient and sustain themselves."

Mr. Adenigba further said, "We have been working on several projects in Badagry for a while, we worked on the orphan and vulnerable children project, (USID project) here in Badagry.

"We actually look for very hard-to-reach areas to make sure marginalised people are taken care of, and by the time Action Aid came, we decided to go around to see where these local right programmes can take place, which led us here," he said.

"I will say to the Wesere people and Badagry at large that we are just one out of many that can do so many things. The indigenes of Badagry can help themselves. This particular intervention is called country sponsorship, this is just individual contributions by a few Nigerians to help Nigerians, of which I am one, with support from Action Aid." He added.

Chief Abayomi Abraham, the Baale of Kankon-Wesere land, said, "Action Aid and the Humanity Family Foundation have done wonderfully well, which I didn’t even expect, and if they continue doing all these things, I think poverty can be totally eradicated.

"The whole community appreciates their support, and God Almighty will bless those who contributed to the success."Baale added.
