Tinubu Reveals his plan for Yahoo Boys

Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has promised to turn internet fraudsters, also known as "Yahoo boys," into technological experts if elected in this year's general elections.

Mr Tinubu made the remarks during a campaign rally in Benin, the capital of Edo State, on Thursday.

According to him, industrial and technological hubs would be established in order to transform young people into development agents.

"I will convert Yahoo boys and use their talents and intellects to produce chips for industries," he said.

"We have the ability to defeat poverty, ignorance, and homelessness. We have the knowledge and the brainpower to do it. Believe me.

"I am an expert at finding a way where there is none. In Lagos, I discovered a way to tame the Atlantic and turn it into a money-making machine.

"From a sociological standpoint, we can build mountains, climb Kilimanjaro, and defeat poverty. We will free ourselves from the shackles of poverty, ignorance, and homelessness."

Mr Tinubu also accused the previous PDP administration of failing to provide electricity for Nigerians, despite spending $16 billion on the power sector.

"I brought Enron to solve the electricity problem and help the Lagos economy," he explained. "They punished me and the people of Lagos, even taking our money."
