Francis Faduyile, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain in Ondo State, has said President Muhammadu Buhari's achievements will give the party's presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, victory in the February election.
Mr Faduyile, a member of the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council's (PCC) medical directorate, stated this in an interview in Akure on Sunday.
"I believe Nigerians and our people in Ondo state will understand that the APC has done very well and is open to citizens in order to secure another term in office for our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu," he said.
"Certainly, with another strategist by the name Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 'the Jagaban,' Nigerians will have another four years of good governance and get to the path of success," the party chieftain added.
He gave Mr Buhari's administration high marks for infrastructure and security.
"President Buhari's commitment to stimulating the nation's economy through massive infrastructure development has proven to be a huge success," he said.
He stated that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the global economic meltdown, and extremely low international oil prices, which resulted in low revenue, the Buhari administration has laid a solid foundation for the country's growth.
Mr Faduyile, who is also the Special Adviser to the Governor of Ondo State on Health, cited the current administration's achievements as the completion of the second Niger bridge and the inauguration of a rice mill in Lagos.
"On insecurity, before the advent of the APC government in 2015, there was a major security challenge in the North-Eastern part of the country by Boko Haram, but that's no longer the case.
"We have done well, far better than those who came before us.
"And if we look at what the president has done with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state, Nigerians will see that the APC administration has outperformed their expectations," he said.
Mr Tinubu, he said, the president has a track record of unprecedented accomplishments as governor of Lagos state and will build on Mr Buhari's achievements.
"What our leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will do is consolidate on all of President Muhammadu Buhari's works," the APC chieftain said.
While acknowledging challenges, Mr Faduyile stated that the next administration would address them, stating that "government is a continuum."
