The Badagry Federal Constituency Campaign Council's Director of Publicity, Planning, and Mobilization, Prince Wale Adesina, has described as "fake" a report that certain chieftains of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC in Badagry Local Government have defected to the People's Democratic Party, PDP.
According to the reports, some APC leaders in certain wards defected to the PDP to support the candidature of Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor.
In a rebuttal, News Proof reported that Mr. Adesina, the APC Campaign Media and Publicity Director, said the report was false, misleading, and malicious.
"The attention of the leadership of All Progressive Congress, Badagry has been drawn to a picture taken by some members of PDP during one of their meeting at their Gubernatorial office which was labelled as Badagry APC Leaders and Members defecting to PDP. In all forms, this statement is false, misleading, and malicious.
"We want to inform the public that this assertion is a lie and a deceit from PDP which shows that they don't have any means to convince and canvass voters than to deceive the public with lies. They clearly do not have anything to offer the people of Lagos State.
"It is important to note that the leadership of our great party, APC, in Badagry, led by Chief Akinsanya Sunny Ajose, a GAC Member, and other reputable leaders across the three local government/LCDA, is focused, united, and committed to delivering massive votes for our National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as President, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu for a Second Term.
"We hereby want to inform the public that the broadcast is a lie, We implore the public to kindly disregard the broadcast".
"We remain committed to voting for the APC in Badagry. We urge the people of Badagry to vote massively for all APC candidates in the upcoming general election on February 25th and March 11th, 2023 ", he stated
