Popoola Grace Oluwapelumi the aspirant, deputy coordinator, National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN Badagry Branch. Has debunked knowing an anonymous Facebook user with the name Pendo Mautin Douglas.
Popoola in a speech made available on her official Facebook account today was a disclaimer to the rumour going around that the knows the anonymous Facebook user, which was why the anonymous user is pleading with people to vote for her.
"My attention has been called to a rumour going round the Badagry corridor, associating my person to the anonymous account above.
"Foremost, I do not know who runs or owns the account and I will not bring myself so low to hide behind keypads."
Popoola further said the said Faceless person had sent her a Direct Message DM last week threatening her on an unsubstantiated matter.
"The same account in my DM last week, tried to threaten me on some very frivolous accusations and I didn't hold back on my response to him or her," she said.
Stated further that, she believe the post endorsing her ambition at NYCN was to pacify her after their altercation or for whatever reason best known to the user.
She emphasized that the said post shouldn't be misunderstood as her association with the anonymous account.
"I hereby call on the authorities to investigate the brain behind this account with a view to unmask the real identity of the person behind it."
Popoola sincerely appeals to the public to stop spreading false information relating her to the anonymous account.
"My purpose for vying for the position of Dep.Coordinator at the NYCN Badagry chapter is to make impact and contribute to the development of the Badagry community and I can't associate a faceless Facebook blogger to do that," she added.
News Peddlers recalled that the anonymous account user has been posting several information on its Facebook page for the past few months claiming to expose political leaders in Badagry.
