(Barr.) Medemaku Abayomi Noah the aspirant for House of Representatives Member,
Badagry constituency decamped officially from Young Progressive Party (YPP) to People
Democratic Party (PDP). This was made known to the public yesterday, Thursday through
Facebook live, given social distancing as a reason.
Where
he made his intention clear, on the party he is currently and the passion he is
aspiring for in coming 2023 election.
In his press release that was made available to the press men. Medemaku said, he is finally ready to provide answer to the questions of fellow Badagrians, who are curious of the political party he is now contesting through.
“Fellow Distinguish Badagrians and Friends of Badagry, I have taken up your challenge and requests, asking and telling me to declare the POLITICAL PARTY under which I intend to actualize the MANDATE that will be given to me in the 2023 General Election which will usher me in as the Voice of Badagry at the Green Chambers”. He said
Medemaku further made it clear, that after several consultations and interaction with the people of Badagry. It is clear that his move to represent the people of Badagry is a “God’s Own Project”
“From our consultations and interface with people, we realised that this project is God’s Own Project. I have consulted the old and young, party stakeholders and members, non-political party members and potential electorates, and I believe this declaration and Chosen Party will be in the Interest of Badagry and Badagrians”.
Medemaku who previously contested during the last election 2019, under YPP said, he now officially decamped to PDP. He, at the same time disassociate himself from all previous political groups.
“I therefore by this speech declare This Day, Time and Place, that I, My Family, Supporters and well wishers shall henceforth be identified as Members of The People Democratic Party (PDP). I hereby denounce Membership of Young Progressive Party (YPP) and also dissolves all Political Groups and Structures which has any bearing with anyone or any person outside the PDP Family, to this end I dissolve and disassociate myself from The Fashola/Zulum Movement which I was the Convener and also collapse all my structures, persons and supporters into the PDP”.
The physical decamping and reception is scheduled for February 2022, date to be announced later.
He promised to contribute his quota alongside his supporters, party leaders and all well meaning party members to ensure that Our Party PDP takes over the political mantle of leadership in Badagry, Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
He said, he is very sure that PDP will be victorious in all facet, come 2023. Calling on Badagry people, “we need you to join us” to make PDP and Nigeria great.
“I wish to use this medium to sincerely thank the PDP Apex leader in Badagry (Hon. Kosh), the Chairperson of Badagry LGA of PDP, all Excos and party leaders, ward executives and stakeholders of this great party for the opportunity and privilege afforded me to be a part of this Great Family”. Medemaku added.
