A group of strangers not less than 600 has arrived Maihula community in Bai Local Government Area, Taraba State.
The group was suspected to have come from Zamfara State. comprising both Men, Women and children arrived at the community in two loaded trailers in the early hours of yesterday 6th of January 2022.
Daily Trust gathered that Mawula youths were worried about the strangers and have to drive them away
An eyewitness from Maihula, Mallam Yakubu Bello, spoke with the media. He said the entire community woke up in tension when they found two full trucks of strangers, not knowing their intentions.
“The villagers, mostly youths, asked the strangers to leave immediately, because of incessant banditry and kidnapping in the area”. Bello said.
“As l am talking to you, the strangers are moving out of the town now,” he added.
It was further discovered that unknown number of people are currently in WurboDaudu, Sodai and Boki community close to Jalingo-Bali road. They are suspected to have come from Zamfara State.
DSP Usman Abdullahi, the Police Public Relations Officer Taraba command, said the divisional station has not reported such incident in Maihula community.
