The crisis in Jos, Plateau State has prompted Taraba State government
to send buses and security personnel to the state to evacuate Taraba students from
the state university.
The crisis which started last week, has led to several lost of
lives including three students and two missing, the attack took place at Rukuba
very close to the State capital Jos.
Edward Baraya, the commissioner for tertiary institutions sparking
with LEADERSHIP News, “Buses and police had been sent from Jalingo to Jos to evacuate
the students to safety". He said.
Bayara said “we have also sent student union leaders who would
help in identifying the students and a director of our ministry to accompany the
team”.
This is a result of the pandemonium the crisis has caused in
the state among the parents of these students, where the current administration
under Governor Darius Ishaku had said he’ll try all he could to protect the people
of Taraba.
