Afrobeats sensation Davido has officially addressed the long-standing paternity claims involving 12-year-old Mitchelle Anuoluwapo, firmly denying that he is her biological father. The global superstar, known for his "Timeless" hits, warned of impending legal consequences following a fresh public appeal for a DNA test that has set social media ablaze.

The controversy reignited on Thursday when Mitchelle shared an emotional statement via Instagram. As she approaches her teenage years, the young girl expressed a deep desire to establish her true identity and put an end to years of uncertainty.

According to Mitchelle, growing up with the belief that Davido was her father led to significant school bullying and emotional distress. She clarified that her request for a DNA test was a personal milestone, made independently of any family pressure.

“As I transition into a young woman, I am respectfully asking Mr. David Adeleke for a DNA test to establish my identity,” she wrote.

The singer did not take the allegations lightly. Shortly after the post gained traction, screenshots surfaced showing a heated exchange between Davido and the account. In the messages, Davido asserted that the matter had been settled years ago through rigorous scientific testing.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account to clarify the situation to his millions of followers, Davido revealed the extent of the previous investigations:

Hospital Selection: Davido claims he chose three medical facilities, while the mother chose two. The Results: All five DNA tests reportedly came back negative. Past Interaction: The singer maintained he had never even met the mother prior to the initial testing period.

"This is the last time I’m speaking on this," Davido stated, emphasizing that his upbringing taught him to take paternity matters with the utmost seriousness. He further accused the mother of persistent harassment and vowed to take the matter to court if the public "intimidation" continues.

The drama took another turn when the girl’s mother, Ayo Labinjoh, responded via her daughter’s Instagram page. Labinjoh dismissed the singer's claims of negative results, instead accusing the music icon of using his platform for "intimidation, bullying, and misrepresentation."

While Davido insists the science has already spoken, the Labinjoh family appears steadfast in their demand for a new, transparent process.
