LAGOS, NIGERIA – The Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) South West Region, in partnership with Eko Destination Ltd, has officially unveiled the inaugural South West International Tourism Expo 2025.

The announcement, made by Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon, National Vice President of the ATPN South West Region, signals a bold step towards unlocking the region's vast economic potential through tourism.

Scheduled for December 5th and 6th, 2025, the expo will transform the prestigious Lagos Airport Hotel into a vibrant hub of innovation and collaboration. The event is strategically designed to assemble a powerful confluence of stakeholders, including state governors, commissioners, local government chairmen, international investors, global tourism experts, cultural icons, and community leaders from across the six South West states: Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti.

Themed “Exploring the Power of Community-Based Tourism (CBT) in Driving Grassroots Development through Strategic Collaboration,” the expo will place a laser focus on sustainable and inclusive growth. This theme underscores a commitment to ensuring that tourism development directly benefits local communities, preserves cultural heritage, and creates tangible economic opportunities at the grassroots level, making it a premier event for discussing sustainable tourism in Nigeria.

Attendees can anticipate a dynamic two-day agenda packed with insightful keynote addresses from international tourism experts, high-level panel discussions on investment and policy, and an expansive exhibition showcasing the rich cultural heritage and bankable investment opportunities unique to South West Nigeria. The event will also feature iconic cultural experiences and a gala award ceremony to honour tourism pioneers.

“This expo is more than just a conference; it is a catalyst for a new era of tourism-led economic transformation in our region,” said **Hon. Apata. “We are extending a formal invitation to all stakeholders from government officials and investors to tourism professionals and community champions to join us in this pivotal movement to shape a prosperous future for South West Nigeria.”

The ATPN has announced various tiered sponsorship and partnership packages, offering organizations and individuals a unique platform for unparalleled brand visibility. Partners will benefit from direct access to government decision-makers, extensive high-value media coverage, and the opportunity to forge long-term relationships at the heart of Nigeria’s tourism resurgence. This presents a prime opportunity for brands looking to invest in Nigeria's tourism sector.
