The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has taken a drastic step by suspending Dr. Osondu Martins, Chairman of the Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA), alongside his entire board over allegations of fraud, gross misconduct, and abuse of office.
In a decisive meeting held on August 11, 2025, at the LSFA office in Surulere, the Ethics and Disciplinary Committee reviewed damning evidence against the BDFA leadership.
The LSFA, led by Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed, found Dr. Martins guilty of fraudulent practices, extortion, sexual harassment, and misuse of power. Other board members were also implicated, leading to their immediate suspension.
Despite being properly notified, Dr. Martins and two board members failed to appear before the committee. Citing Article 14 of the LSFA Statutes, which allows suspension for violations of FIFA, CAF, NFF, and LSFA regulations, the association enforced the ban.
The suspended officials must stay away from all football activities in Lagos. They are barred from the BDFA Secretariat unless authorized. A further investigation by the Ethics Committee is underway.
To ensure smooth operations, the LSFA has appointed Osahon Emokpae as the new Football Administrator, supported by Abel Sohe and Taiwo Kool.
