In a show of strength and determination, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Badagry Local Government Area held a mega rally ahead of the July 12 local government elections, with its chairmanship candidate, Barr. Medemaku Abayomi Noah, vowing to deliver better governance than what residents have experienced in the past eight years.

The rally, which drew a massive crowd of supporters, saw party members chanting songs condemning the ruling party for allegedly neglecting Badagry. Barr. Medemaku seized the moment to address the pressing issues facing the community, urging residents to take a stand for their future.

In his passionate address, Medemaku highlighted the underdevelopment plaguing Badagry, pointing to abandoned projects, lack of employment opportunities, and poor governance.

"When you look around Badagry, you will see abandoned projects everywhere. There are no jobs for our youth, and our leaders have only enriched themselves and their families," he declared. "My government will be different it will be inclusive, transparent, and focused on the welfare of all residents, not just a select few."

He criticized the ruling party for allegedly prioritizing party members over the general public in the distribution of opportunities and resources, promising a new era of accountability and even development across all parts of the LGA.

The atmosphere at the rally was charged as residents expressed frustration over years of unfulfilled promises. Many attendees echoed Medemaku’s sentiments, calling for change in the upcoming election.

"We have suffered enough. Badagry deserves better, and we believe Medemaku is the leader we need," said one supporter.

Medemaku urged voters to cast their ballots for him on July 12, assuring them that his administration would prioritize infrastructure, youth empowerment, and equitable development.

"Together, we can achieve a greater Badagry one where no community is left behind," he concluded, sparking cheers from the crowd.
