Three members of the National Association of Badagry Students (NABAS) Ajayi Eniola, Agosu Deyon, and Kohra Peter were selected to attend the prestigious Festac AI Week, a cutting-edge tech immersion program held from July 7th to 11th, 2025.

Organized by SoTech Africa, the event united innovators, industry leaders, and aspiring tech enthusiasts to explore the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across key sectors, from healthcare to finance.

In a statement by NABAS President Ayomide Gbeyoun, the event was described as a game-changer for young minds. “Festac AI Week demystified AI, showcasing its real-world applications in business, agriculture, education, fintech, and logistics,” Gbeyoun said.

The students engaged in hands-on workshops, networking sessions, and expert-led discussions, gaining in-demand skills to drive innovation in Nigeria’s digital economy.

This remarkable opportunity was made possible through the generous sponsorship of SoTech Africa, Treasurehall, and Infinite Intel Consult. The initiative fulfilled a promise made by Engr. Seton Senu, CEO of SoTech Africa, during the NABAS National Retreat, where he pledged to empower Badagry students with tech training and smart home automation programs.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to SoTech Africa, Treasurehall, and Infinite Intel Consult for investing in the future of Badagry’s youth,” Gbeyoun added. “This sponsorship has opened doors for our students to compete on a global scale and contribute to Africa’s AI revolution.”

Engr. Seton Senu’s commitment to youth empowerment and tech education has set a powerful precedent. His leadership underscores the importance of private-sector partnerships in bridging Nigeria’s digital skills gap. The success of Festac AI Week highlights how strategic collaborations can unlock opportunities for underrepresented communities.
