Ogun State, the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) has announced the appointment of Melutia Ogunremi as the Pioneer Chairman of its Ogun State Chapter.  

The announcement was made by Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon, Vice President of ATPN’s South West Region, following an extensive selection process. According to Manoah Kikekon, Personal Media Aide to Hon. Apata, the decision underscores a bold step toward revitalizing tourism and cultural heritage in the state.  

Melutia Ogunremi emerged as the top candidate after a rigorous evaluation by the Office of the Vice President South West Region. Recognized for her leadership acumen, industry expertise, and unwavering commitment to tourism development, her appointment signals a fresh chapter for ATPN in Ogun State.  

Hon. Apata expressed confidence in Ogunremi’s ability to drive the association’s vision, stating:  

"Melutia Ogunremi’s leadership will be instrumental in positioning Ogun State as a premier tourism destination. Her role will complement the efforts of the state government in harnessing our rich cultural and economic potential."

The newly appointed Chairman is expected to collaborate closely with Hon. Sesan Fagbayi, Ogun State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, to align with Governor Dapo Abiodun’s agenda for tourism growth. The state ministry has been actively working to enhance Ogun’s appeal as a tourism hub, and ATPN’s new chapter aims to amplify these efforts through strategic partnerships and innovative initiatives.  

The ATPN National Leadership has lauded the decision, expressing optimism that Ogunremi’s tenure will bring unprecedented progress to the sector. Industry stakeholders anticipate that her leadership will attract investments, promote local tourism, and elevate Ogun State’s profile on the national and international stage.
