In a strategic move to boost youth participation in tourism, Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon the National Vice President Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) South West Zone has announced the appointment of Bolaji Seun as Special Assistant on Youth Mobilization & Engagement. 

The announcement was made by Hon. Apata, signaling a renewed push for youth involvement in Nigeria’s fast-growing tourism sector.  

"Bolaji Seun, a seasoned tourism expert and Team Lead of Naija Explorers, brings over a decade of experience in promoting Nigeria’s cultural and natural attractions," Apata siad.

With a BSc in Tourism and Hospitality and firsthand exploration of 35 Nigerian states, his deep industry knowledge positions him as a key player in driving youth-focused tourism initiatives. His appointment aligns with ATPN’s vision to harness the energy and creativity of young Nigerians in reshaping domestic and African tourism.  

As Team Lead of Naija Explorers, Bolaji has been at the forefront of promoting local tourism, organizing expeditions, and creating engaging content that highlights Nigeria’s hidden gems. 

His new role will involve mobilizing young tourism enthusiasts, fostering skills development, and creating platforms for youth engagement in the South West and beyond. Experts believe his leadership will bridge the gap between tourism policy and grassroots participation.  

This appointment comes at a crucial time when Nigeria is pushing for increased domestic tourism and youth empowerment. With Bolaji Seun’s expertise, ATPN aims to inspire a new generation of tourism advocates, boost economic opportunities, and position South West Nigeria as a hub for sustainable tourism development. Stakeholders are optimistic that this move will strengthen Nigeria’s tourism value chain while empowering youths to take ownership of the sector’s growth.
