A gruesome discovery has left the Badagry community in shock after missing welder Jamiu Ishola was found murdered, with his remains allegedly taken away by a fleeing suspect.
Jamiu, a resident of Ikoga Zebbe, was last seen on Monday, June 16, 2025, leaving his workshop in Mowo on a ladies’ motorcycle (okada). When he failed to return home, his family launched a desperate search.
Days later, his motorcycle, phone, clothes, and keys were found in an uncompleted building in Topo-Idale, Badagry. A man identified as “Aboki” was arrested at the scene with the victim’s belongings.
A police source revealed that Aboki confessed to being an accomplice, naming “Ifa” as the killer who allegedly took Jamiu’s body away. Aboki is currently detained at Morogbo Police Station, while a manhunt is underway for Ifa, the prime suspect still at large.
Residents are terrified, citing rising crime in abandoned buildings. “Jamiu was a hardworking young man,” a neighbor lamented. “We demand justice.
The Lagos State Police Command has not officially commented, but investigators are working to recover the victim’s remains and apprehend the fugitive.
