Mobolaji Ogunlende Opens Lagos NYSC Camp, Urges Corps Members to Embrace Growth & Unity

Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, officially declared open the Lagos State National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Camp for Batch A Stream II Corps Members. 


The swearing-in ceremony, held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the NYSC Camp in Iyana Ipaja, marked the beginning of a transformative 21-day orientation program designed to equip young graduates for national service and leadership.  


In his address, Hon. Ogunlende, who also serves as the Chairman of the Lagos State NYSC Governing Board, charged the corps members to approach the orientation course with diligence, enthusiasm, and an open mind. 


He emphasized the importance of maximizing every training opportunity for personal and professional growth while fostering teamwork with camp officials.


"This camp is not just a requirement but a platform for skill acquisition, networking, and nation-building," he stated.  


The commissioner further reassured the corps members of the unwavering commitment of the Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu-led administration* to youth empowerment and inclusive development. 


"Under the THEMES+ Agenda, Lagos State remains dedicated to creating an enabling environment where young people can thrive without discrimination," he declared.


The government’s initiatives, including vocational training and mentorship programs, aim to unlock the full potential of Nigerian youths.
