Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, joined Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, and other cabinet members on Wednesday, June 11, to commission major infrastructure projects.
The newly unveiled facilities include a state-of-the-art administrative building, a modern legislative complex, and a 400-meter standard paved road.
Additionally, the team performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the highly anticipated Ibeju-Lekki Housing Scheme, marking a significant step in the state’s urban development agenda.
The commissioning of these projects highlights the Lagos State Government’s unwavering commitment to transforming the state into a thriving megacity.
Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that these developments are part of a broader strategy to enhance governance efficiency, legislative operations, and road connectivity.
The new administrative and legislative complexes are expected to streamline government activities, while the paved road will improve transportation and reduce traffic congestion in the area.
One of the standout moments of the event was the groundbreaking of the Ibeju-Lekki Housing Scheme, a project set to provide quality and affordable housing for Lagos residents. This initiative aligns with the state’s goal of bridging the housing deficit and fostering sustainable urban growth.
Hon. Ogunlende reiterated the administration’s dedication to improving citizens' welfare through strategic investments in critical sectors, including housing, youth development, and social infrastructure.
