Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, graced Capital Club Lagos’s "One Year to Go" event, a high-profile gathering in anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The exclusive program offered deep insights into the Mundial’s official hospitality packages while presenting attendees with a chance to win VIP tickets, flights, and luxury accommodations.  

The event, held at the prestigious Capital Club Lagos, underscored the state’s dedication to youth engagement, accessibility, and global positioning as Lagos continues to foster opportunities for its citizens on the world stage.  

In his address, Hon. Ogunlende emphasized the importance of such initiatives in aligning with the state’s vision for youth empowerment and international exposure.  

“My participation in this program reflects our administration’s commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and active engagement in the everyday experiences of Lagosians,” he stated. “As we prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, we are keen on ensuring that Lagos remains at the forefront of global conversations in sports, entertainment, and social development.”

Attendees at the event were treated to an in-depth look at FIFA’s hospitality offerings, with a raffle draw offering two VIP hospitality tickets, round-trip flight tickets, and a three-night luxury stay for the tournament. The initiative not only heightened anticipation for the World Cup but also reinforced Lagos’ role in promoting elite sporting experiences.
