Badagry’s Young Leaders Whingan, Ogunlende, Kosoko Unites, Chart Path for Development

Badagry’s rising political and Business leaders has met in Abuja to strategize on the future of their beloved community. The gathering featured Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan (Member, House of Representatives, Badagry Federal Constituency), Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende (Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development), and Prince Olu Kosoko (Arẹmọ of Iworo Kingdom). 


The trio met on Tuesday at Whingan’s office in the National Assembly, where they discussed collaborative efforts to drive Badagry’s socio-economic transformation.  

 

Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, a key figure in Lagos youth development, described the meeting as a productive exchange of ideas. “Always great to catch up with my MHR, proudly representing our Badagry constituency,” he said. 


“We shared thoughts on the growth of Badagry while enjoying a chilled moment among like minds. It was also a pleasure to see my brother, Prince Olu Kosoko. Solid vibes all around.” The Commissioner emphasized the importance of synergy among Badagry’s young leaders in shaping a brighter future for the region.  


Prince Olu Kosoko, a prominent traditional leader and philanthropist, echoed Ogunlende’s sentiments, highlighting the significance of their shared vision. 


“I had the utmost pleasure of spending invaluable moments with two remarkable individuals,” Kosoko stated. “We are proud to be young leaders from Badagry, united by a shared journey of impactful contributions through philanthropy and governance.


Our discussions revolved around transforming Badagry into a hub of prosperity.” He stressed that their collective efforts would champion unity, collaboration, and progress for the ancient coastal town.  


The meeting also saw the presence of Hon. Olajuwon Akala, a House of Representatives member representing Ogbomoso Federal Constituency, signaling broader inter-community support for Badagry’s development. The leaders explored partnerships that could leverage federal and state resources to boost infrastructure, youth empowerment, and cultural preservation in Badagry.  


With Badagry’s rich history and untapped potential, this high-powered convergence signals a renewed commitment to its advancement. 


As Hon. Whingan and his counterparts continue to push for inclusive growth, residents remain hopeful that such collaborations will translate into tangible benefits.

“The future is bright, and the time is NOW" declared Kosoko a rallying cry for Badagry’s transformation.
