Air Peace has condemned the "unruly and unbecoming" conduct of Senator Adams Oshiomhole after the Edo North lawmaker allegedly assaulted staff and barricaded a terminal at Lagos' Murtala Muhammed Airport following a missed flight.
In a strongly worded statement on Wednesday, the airline revealed that Oshiomhole arrived late for Flight P47120 to Abuja, which had already closed boarding. Despite being informed, the senator reportedly became aggressive physically attacking staff, sealing the terminal gate, and obstructing other passengers.
A viral video captured the ex-governor loudly protesting, further escalating the disruption. Air Peace swiftly activated contingency plans to minimize delays for affected travelers.
The airline reiterated its zero-tolerance policy for violence, emphasizing aviation’s strict safety protocols. "No individual, regardless of status, is above discipline and due process," the statement read, urging passengers to respect operational guidelines.
