Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made a strategic visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Acme, Ogba, ahead of the party’s Local Government primaries.
The governor emphasized the need for a peaceful, transparent, and credible process in line with the guidelines of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).
During his visit, Governor Sanwo-Olu engaged with APC leaders and members, reinforcing the party’s dedication to upholding democratic principles.
"It was important for me to connect with our leaders and members directly, to reaffirm our shared commitment to a process that is peaceful, transparent, and fully aligned with LASIEC’s guidelines," he stated.
The governor expressed confidence in the APC’s strong legacy of progress and leadership, predicting another resounding victory in the upcoming council elections.
Sanwo-Olu also applauded the APC Electoral Committee and party executives for their preparations, noting their role in ensuring a smooth and credible exercise.
"I’m deeply appreciative of the work done so far by the APC Electoral Committee and our party executives. Together, we can uphold the trust our people have placed in us and continue to lead with purpose and integrity," he added.
The APC primaries are a critical step in selecting candidates for the Lagos Local Government elections, which will shape grassroots governance in the state. Sanwo-Olu’s visit underscores the party’s focus on unity, fairness, and electoral credibility key themes resonating with voters.
