Hon. Olumayowa Akinlola Abudu-Akogun, the Labour Party chairmanship candidate for Ojo Local Government in Lagos State, has promised to run an all-inclusive government if elected in the upcoming local council elections.

He made this known in an exclusive statement to News Peddlers on Saturday, emphasizing his commitment to uniting the diverse communities within the council area.

Ojo Local Government, a bustling economic hub in Lagos, is home to a multicultural population comprising various ethnic and religious groups. Recognizing this diversity, Abudu-Akogun stated that his administration would prioritize stakeholder engagement to understand and address the challenges facing residents.

"We will ensure that every voice is heard, and no community is left behind in our development agenda," he affirmed.

The Labour Party candidate also highlighted his plans to improve infrastructure, noting that better roads, with efficient drainage systems, are critical to boosting commerce in Ojo.

"When I become chairman, we will prioritize projects that ease business operations and enhance the quality of life for our people," he said. His vision aligns with Ojo’s status as a key commercial and educational center, hosting institutions like Lagos State University (LASU) and major markets.

Abudu-Akogun further assured residents that his government would uphold fairness and equity, rejecting any form of tribal or religious bias.

"The constitution of Nigeria guarantees equality for all citizens, and we will strictly adhere to this principle in governance," he declared. This stance is expected to resonate in Ojo, where ethnic harmony remains vital for sustainable growth.

Political analysts suggest that his inclusive approach could set him apart in the race, as voters increasingly demand accountability and grassroots-focused leadership. With Ojo’s growing population and economic potential, effective governance will be crucial in addressing unemployment, and urban planning challenges.
