Lagos Youth Commissioner Ogunlende Shares Spiritual Renewal at Obanikoro’s Ramadan Lecture

Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende, joined dignitaries and community leaders at the prestigious annual Ramadan Lecture hosted by His Excellency, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, and Alhaja Morufat Obanikoro at their Lagos residence. 


The event, a hallmark of Ramadan spiritual gatherings in Lagos, brought together worshippers for an evening of soul-stirring sermons, fostering unity and deepening faith among attendees. 

 

The Ramadan Lecture featured powerful sermons delivered by renowned Islamic scholars (ulamah), focusing on themes of gratitude, compassion, and the essence of worship during the holy month.


 Commissioner Ogunlende, known for his active engagement in youth development and social initiatives, emphasized the importance of such gatherings in strengthening communal bonds.  


“Attending Senator Obanikoro’s Ramadan Lecture was a profoundly uplifting experience,” said Ogunlende. “The sermons resonated deeply, reminding us of the values of humility, service, and devotion. I left spiritually rejuvenated, with a renewed commitment to supporting Lagos’ youth and fostering social harmony.” 


Senator Obanikoro and Alhaja Morufat Obanikoro, longstanding advocates for religious and social cohesion, have hosted this annual event for years, drawing praise for its role in promoting peace and unity. This year’s edition underscored Ramadan’s timeless message of empathy, with attendees reflecting on its relevance to Lagos’ diverse population. 


In a heartfelt closing message, Commissioner Ogunlende said, “May Allah (SWT) accept our acts of worship, grant us His infinite mercy, and bless Lagos State and Nigeria with enduring peace, prosperity, and divine guidance.”
