Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende and and beneficiaries of free JAMB form |
Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende the Lagos State commissioner for Youth and Social Development and Pionier RAK Development Foundation has presented free Jamb forms to qualified 30 students after a CBT test for 100 students.
Ogunlend presented the form to students on March 9, 2025, at its office in Badagry, Lagos State.
He said this is about prioritizing quality over quantity it is about building the youths from the grassroots, "we can't just give JAMB form for the sake, what the CBT test does is to prepare the students for the actual exam.
"Over the years we have had a scheme where students who pass get JAMB from those who pass very well we pay their school fees there are some that started from the JAMB and I sponsored them through the University. After this, we are to start classes to prepare the students for the exam.
"We all want Badagry to be built so we need to start from this grassroots by inserting ethos of accountability and professionalism in them to bring a positive touch to the community.
In his address to the students "Your parents have done their own, it's now left to you. I'm here to let you know how important you are to me so you should know your future can be bright, this time I am ready to support you if you can perform well in your exams.
"You don't need to know anybody to get what you deserve or get to what you're destiny to be, just do the right thing, stay away from all social vices and avoid drugs there is pressure on both Males and Females but right now your focus is to face your education and get a good grade, there's nothing stopping you that someone like you get 100% and you are taking to Mr. Governor for a handshake.
"Your Destiny is now in your hands for any of you to be here you must have done well this is for your future and a greater and better Badagry which includes doing the right things and putting you through to do that right thing.
Mr. Wande Desmond, the Education officer RAK Development Foundation said "over time students don't take free JAMB forms seriously as some do not bother to sit for the exams after registration or check the results after the exams, but the test will only help to select students who are ready to study."
Williams Seminapa Toluwalope, a student who had the highest core said she intends to study computer science which has been her passion since she was small, she appreciated the commissioner "I believe I'm going to get the highest score in JAMB too and I hope I will get sponsorship from the commissioner"
