Hon. Ajulo Mautin Oluwatoyin, a 2025 Chairmanship Aspirant for Badagry Local Government, has called on the community to unite for the development and transformation of Badagry.
He shared this vision during an engagement with News Peddlers in Badagry on Monday.
He stated, “I stand before you today as a proud son of this land, deeply committed to the progress and prosperity of our people. Badagry is a land of immense potential, but for too long, we have faced challenges that have hindered our growth. Now is the time for a new era an era of massive infrastructural development, human capacity building, unity, and accountability. With your support, we will transform our great community and secure a brighter future for all.”
Hon. Ajulo outlined key areas of focus for his administration:
1. Infrastructure Development: Local roads will be reconstructed and regularly maintained to ensure smoother transportation. Proper drainage systems and street lighting will be installed to enhance security and convenience for residents.
2. Education: Education will be a top priority. School facilities will be improved, teachers will receive better support, and scholarships will be provided to deserving students to ensure no child is left behind.
3. Youth and Women Empowerment: To tackle unemployment, skill acquisition programs will be introduced to empower youths and women. Artisans and local businesses will receive support and incentives to thrive, creating job opportunities and boosting the local economy.
4. Healthcare: A healthy community is a productive one. Hospitals and health centers will be well-equipped, and affordable healthcare services will be made accessible to all. Free maternal and child healthcare programs will be implemented to support families.
5. Security: Security will be strengthened through collaboration with law enforcement agencies and the introduction of community policing initiatives. Every citizen will feel safe in their homes and workplaces.
6. Tourism and Cultural Heritage: Badagry’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential will be harnessed to drive economic growth. By attracting visitors, creating jobs, and generating revenue, the community will benefit from its unique history and natural beauty.
7. Transparent and Accountable Governance: Hon. Ajulo promised a government that prioritizes transparency and accountability. Public resources will be used for the good of the people, and every decision will be made with the best interests of Badagry in mind.
“Leadership is about service, not self-interest,” he emphasized. “With your trust, I will work tirelessly to build a community we can all be proud of. The time for action is now. Let us come together, hand in hand, to build the Badagry of our dreams. With your support, we will make Badagry great again!” he added.
