Abdurrahman Ahmad, the National Missioner of Ansar-ud-Deen Society (ADS), has urged President Bola Tinubu’s administration to incorporate Islamic financial principles to address Nigeria’s economic challenges.

Speaking at the 30th annual Ramadan lecture and special prayer for the nation in Abuja, Ahmad emphasized the need for synergy between the government and faith-based organizations to combat issues such as inflation, hunger, and insecurity.

He highlighted the role of faith in overcoming economic hardship, citing the resilience of Muslims in Gaza as an example. He also called on Nigerian leaders to embrace modest lifestyles and support the less privileged to reduce poverty.

Additionally, Ahmad advocated for the transformation of mosques into resource centers offering ICT training and community services. The event also featured discussions on remodeling the ADS mosque and honoring the late cleric, Muyideen Bello.
