Williams Seminapa, a 23-year-old Badagry indigene, from Kweme Kingdom, Thova compound, Badagry West Local Government, Lagos State, has been crowned as the most beautiful girl in Badagry 2025.

She was crowned as the queen on February 14, 2025, at the event held at Vajane Hall, Ibereko, Badagry, Lagos State.

She emerged as the queen alongside Imobighe Faustine, who was crowned as the best model of the year, Shehu Juwerat, who emerged as the 1st runner-up and Joel Eritomi, who was crowned as the 2nd runner-up.

Speaking with journalist Williams, said it was not an easy task, as she was never expected to be the winner, she was putting in her best to make sure she goes home with something.

"I had discouragement from every angle from friends, family, and some of my loved ones, but my mother believed in me and stood by me. I also have always had the belief that if I can put my best in anything I do, I will definitely be great. That is the spirit that has always kept me moving," Williams said.

Chinyere Mmbuosi, the CEO Sharonmmo Entertainment, the organizer for the most beautiful girl in Badagry, said "it was not as easy from the start, but we give God the glory for taking charge at the end. I want everyone that participated to know that they are all queens, as someone will definitely emerge, and congratulations to all the queens. As part of the responsibilities of the queen, she is expected to give back to Badagry, and that is why she will be carrying out some projects within the communities."

Williams said, "I'm promoting inclusivity and accessibility in education, a campaign that would ensure every child has the opportunity to learn in Badagry. As a positive queen, I am committed to empowering underprivileged students with the necessary educational resources and supporting them to succeed academically.

Many children in Badagry lack access to basic educational materials, hindering their ability to learn and succeed. This is often due to poverty, lack of resources, and inadequate infrastructure. As a result, these children are at a significant disadvantage, struggling to keep up with their peers and facing a higher risk of dropping out of school, which, if they have the support, they can do well in academics."

I want young girls in Badagry to know that no matter what the challenge may be, keep on pushing, never relent, focus on your goal, know at the back of your mind that one day you will be there, you will make it one day, and be sure of yourself that one day you will win the race. Never let your challenges overcome you; instead, overcome the challenges," she said.

Joel Eritomi, who was also awarded the best-behaved model, said, "All through the period, not that I never saw unpleasant attitudes from my fellow contestants, but I believe as a lady, your attitude or behavior is part of your beauty, as it is important for young ladies to make sure they are well behaved because in recent times it has become a serious matter of concern as ladies tend to be more disrespectful. This is Africa, where good behavior is hold in high esteem."
