Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State Governor, Bonu Solomon, Lagos State House of Assembly Member representing Badagry, Toke Benson, the commissioner for Tourism, Art and Culture and other major tourism stakeholders have been selected and nominated.
The Destination Lagos Awards 2024 is to recognizes and celebrates outstanding individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to the development and promotion of tourism in Lagos State and Nigeria at large.
The event is slated for December 27th, 2024, to be held at JK Randle Cultural Centre, Onikan, Lagos State, Nigeria.
This year's nominees, being the pioneers, were carefully selected from a pool of highly qualified candidates, and the competition is expected to be fierce.
In an exclusive interview, Hon. Bonu Solomon told News Peddlers that "This is commendable one and I appreciate this recognition as this will further encourage people in tourism industry to do better and this will also encourage more investors to put their money I'm the industry.
Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon, the organizer of Destination Lagos Awards, said, "We are glad to announce that the nominees list for the Destination Lagos Awards has successfully completed the first stage of the assessment process and has now moved on to the second stage.
"Our ASSESSMENT AND AWARD COMMITTEE has stated working diligently to evaluate the nominees based on the award criteria. The committee is comprised of 5 independent experts who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.
"The second stage of the assessment process involves a thorough review of the nominees' submissions, followed by a shortlisting of the top candidates, he said.
