Apata Samson Nunayon, a Badagry-born tourism practitioner has emerged as the National Vice President of the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) covering the South West geopolitical zone.
This was announced on Tuesday after the election held at Kapital Club, Asokoro, Abuja.
Apata told News Peddlers that "this is a wine for the six southwest states in Nigeria. Tourism in this region is going to witness a new dimension. People said it was due to my antecedents in the tourism industry that gave me the victory."
Mausi Hunye, a close friend of Apata, told News Peddlers that "we believe Apata will bring unexpected changes to the South West tourism industry as he did in Badagry from 2017 to 2021 while he was the supervisor for tourism in Badagry Local Government Lagos State, and since he left that office the vacuum remains till date.
"The South West tourism industry in Nigeria will witness a new dawn as Apata Samson, a passionate and committed tourism practitioner, has emerged as the National Vice President of the Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN)." She said.
