Mr. Abba Abubakar Aliyu, Acting Managing Director and CEO of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), has pledged to enhance electricity access for the people of Badagry.
This commitment was announced during a meeting with Hon. Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan, the House of Representatives Member representing Badagry Federal Constituency, on Monday, October 20, 2024.
The discussion followed a comprehensive four-day survey conducted by REA officials across various rural communities in Badagry, Lagos State. The survey aimed to assess the electricity challenges faced by these areas and gather data to guide future electrification projects.
Mr. Aliyu reaffirmed REA’s dedication to providing power to underserved communities, emphasizing that the insights from the survey would play a crucial role in shaping upcoming initiatives. He highlighted the agency’s focus on delivering sustainable and impactful solutions to improve the quality of life for residents.
This meeting marks a significant milestone in the rural electrification drive for Badagry. With REA and Hon. Whingan working closely together, the community can expect tangible improvements in electricity access in the near future.
